The museum is open every day except Monday.
The monastery garden is open from May to October.

Summer (May to October): 10:00 am – 6:00 pm 
Winter (November to April): 10:00 am – 5:00 pm 

24.12. and 31.12.: closed
25.12. and 26.12.: open from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
01.01.2026: open from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Open at regular hours on all other holidays (except Monday).

All year round, school classes as well as kindergarten and nursery school groups can book hands-on active tours on the history of art, on the natural and regional history, on architecture, and, when seasonally available, on the Monastery Garden.

If you are arriving by train to Greifswald (Main Station), from there you can reach the museum on foot or by bus. Parking is available under the museum’s courtyard “Am Markt”; parking for coaches is in front of the museum. There are bicycle stands and rental bicycles on the courtyard in front of the museum.
