The Cultural Office is the point of contact for those who wish to apply to the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) for funding for measures of broad-based cultural work according to the provisions of paragraph 96 of the Federal Law on Refugees and Exiles and its concept for researching, preserving, presenting, and communicating the culture and history of Germans in Eastern Europe, which was further developed by the Federal Government in 2016.
Eligible for funding are cultural mediation projects that serve to maintain and pass on historical and regional knowledge through cultural encounters and events in Germany and abroad. Applicants must be legal entities based in Germany. More detailed information on funding requirements, formats, and procedures can be found in German on the website of the Cultural Office.
